Deserts

Flamingogo

A few fancy flamingogo dance off shots from Episode 6 of LooP. We were actually in Chile to film salt flat lizards for Episode 4 and spent about half an hour doing some test shots tracking alongside the dance off with the cine-buggy... I was planning to return to shoot more and my dates never worked out. Great fun on location with @furious_panda & @joefereday... (I say great fun... but i mostly sat in a hot puddle of flamingo turds while Barny and Joe sipped cocktails under a parasol). Also the actual sequence was expertly shot by @jamesaldred1 and @primowalker. Episode 6 was directed by @filming_planet_earth & edited by Dave Pearce. Life on Our Planet is now showing on Netflix!

Desert Lion

This is one of the few remaining desert lions on the Skeleton Coast, Namibia. Sadly a few months after filming this male and his 3 brothers were poisoned and died. On location for Our Planet: From Deserts to Grasslands. Now showing on Netflix.
